There are lots of web developers out there, so what does really differentiate a good web developer from a bad web developer, and most importantly, how can you help clients see the difference? To me, it all boils down to one thing: Being ready to do whatever it takes in order to become successful. Seeing…
Due to some unforseen circumstances (life) there won’t be a new HeroPress essay this week. Instead I’m going to tweet quotes from past essays throughout the day. In order to do that I’m re-reading each essay. I had forgotten how really amazing these are. Each week I get so focused on the new one and…
It’s been a couple weeks since the GoFundMe met its goal, so I thought I’d give an update. We raised almost $400 more than I was looking for, which is great, because there were some unexpected expenses. I got my plane ticket, and instead of $1400 it was about $1570. I also didn’t realize ahead…
I’ve been aware that my web site needs to be accessible to the blind since almost the beginning of my development career. Back then web sites were all text anyway, and that kind of accessibility was pretty simple. I’m Sunny Ratilal. Some of you may have heard about me: I’m a Core Developer of Easy Digital Downloads and have been since 27th July 2012. I’m a 18 year old guy living in London. I’ve lived there my whole life but from a young age have always had a passion for computers and the…
10 days ago HeroPress contributor Saurabh Shukla sent me an email asking that I come to WordCamp Pune, India to present about HeroPress. I didn’t even know WordCamp Pune was happening, but I had wanted to go to WordCamp Mumbai VERY much, so I was incredibly excited. My first thought was “How can I afford…
It all started with an iPod Touch When I was about 13 years old, I made my first tech purchase, an iPod Touch. This was essentially my first “computer”. I know what you’re thinking, that an iPod Touch is nothing like a computer. But to my 13 year-old mind, this was not the case. I…
